October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
Each and every one of us needs to do our part to make sure that our online lives are kept safe and secure. That's what National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – observed in October – is all about!
In October 2016, Marquette University organized panel discussions for the Cyber Security Summit held on the WCTC campus. Two of the these discussed K-12 education and cyber Security awareness for employees. This year, WCTC and the Wisconsin Department for Public Instruction have worked with the newly created Marquette University Center for Cyber Security Awareness and Cyber Defense to prepare a Colloquium on Cyber Security Awareness. This event is intended for business and educational participants.
There are two themes that arose from last year’s discussion: The Workforce Pipeline Begins in K-12 Education and Defense Begins with Employee Training.
Please join us during National Cyber Security Awareness Month for a hearty discussion on increasing cyber security awareness for employee and creating a pipeline for the cyber security workforce.
